Memorial service for Ovilio “Bill” Benavidez, 63 of Tahoka will be held 3:00p.m., Friday, January 25, 2019, at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel in Tahoka with Rev. David Merritt officiating under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home and Chapel.
Bill opened his eyes on earth on February 6, 1955 and opened them in heaven on January 20, 2019. He was born to the late Juan and Carmen Benavidez in Dilley, Texas, and was a 1973 graduate of Gail High School. He went onto become a farmer in Borden Co. for more than thirty years, until retiring in 2013. Bill was a true Dallas Cowboys fan.
He is preceded in death by his parents Juan and Carmen Benavidez; a brother Xavier Benavidez and a son Victor Manuel Carrizales Jr. and a great granddaughter Jade Gabriella Carrizales.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty-two years Nadine Benavidez of Tahoka; a son Armando Ray Carrizales of O’Donnell; two brothers Santos Tijerina Jr. of Big Springs and Tony Benavidez of O’Donnell; three sisters Julia Ramos of Tahoka, Marion Bain of Portland and Vasiy Antuna of Big Spring; Eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
