Visitation for Hector Herrera Arellano, 59 of Lubbock, will begin on Sunday, December 19, 2021, from 1 p.m.-7 p.m. at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary beginning at 6:00 pm the same evening. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 20, 2021, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Martin Pina officiating. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park. All arrangements were made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home & Chapel.

Hector went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 11, 2021. He was born on June 25, 1962, in Mexico to Mariano Herrera Mijares and Maria Christina Arellano. Hector worked in the construction business as a concrete layer for numerous years. He enjoyed dancing and loved to spend time with his family, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife Irene Herrera Tamayo of Mexico; three sons Hector Herrera Tamayo, Arturo Herrera Tamayo and Aron Herrera Tamayo all of Mexico; a daughter Nancy Ivette Herrera Tamayo of Mexico; his parents Mariano Herrera Mijares and Maria Christina Arellano both of Mexico; five brothers Benito Herrera of Mexico, Ventura Herrera of Mexico, Rodrigo Herrera of Lubbock, Manuel Herrera of Mexico and Javier Herrera of Mexico and a host of grandchildren.

El velorio de Héctor Herrera Arellano, 59 de Lubbock, comenzará el domingo 19 de diciembre de 2021, de 1 p.m. a 7 p.m. en la Capilla de la Funeraria Calvillo con un rosario a partir de las 6:00 pm de la misma noche. La misa fúnebre se llevará a cabo a las 10:00 a.m., el lunes 20 de diciembre de 2021, en la iglesia católica Our Lady of Guadalupe con el padre Martín Pina oficiando. Héctor trabajó en el negocio de la construcción como capa de hormigón durante varios años. Disfrutaba bailar y le encantaba pasar tiempo con su familia, todos los que lo conocieron y amaron lo extrañarán mucho.

Los sobrevivientes incluyen a su esposa Irene Herrera Tamayo de México; tres hijos Héctor Herrera Tamayo, Arturo Herrera Tamayo y Aron Herrera Tamayo todos de México; una hija de México, Nancy Ivette Herrera Tamayo; sus padres Mariano Herrera Mijares y Maria Christina Arellano, ambos de México; cinco hermanos Benito Herrera de México, Ventura Herrera de México, Rodrigo Herrera de Lubbock, Manuel Herrera de México y Javier Herrera de México y una gran cantidad de nietos.
