Armandina Gonzales

Armandina “Amanda” Gonzales, 77 passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Covenant Hospital.  Services for Mrs. Gonzales will be 10:00 Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Martin Pina officiating. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.  There will be a rosary held 7:00 pm Friday, July 10, 2015 at Calvillo Funeral Chapel.

Amanda was born June 10, 1938 in Oney, Texas to Erineo & Jovita Uvalle. She was a devoted catholic and enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her family.  She loved her family and grandchildren equally making sure each one of them felt the love she had for them always.

She is survived by six sons, Daniel Gonzales, Matilde Gonzales, Leroy Gonzales, Erineo Gonzales, John Gonzales, Richard Gonzales, Christopher Gonzales all of Lubbock; four daughters, Sarah Gonzales, Laura Gonzales, Jessica Rodriguez, Mandy Gonzales all of Lubbock; five sisters, Cookie Garcia of Kennedy, Manuela Hernandez of Lubbock, Telia Gonzalez of Bishop, Mary Lou Gonzales, Rosa Chapa both of Kennedy; thirty one grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by one daughter, Jovita Gonzales and her parents.
