Arnulfo Hernandez Rodriguez "Arnie"

With great sorrow and loving remembrance, we share the passing of Arnulfo Hernandez Rodriguez, fondly known as “Arnie,” on June 29, 2026, at the age of 64. He was born on April 1, 1962, in Pecos, Texas, to Espiridion R. and Lusidra H. Rodriguez. Arnie’s journey began in the warm embrace of family and community, where he cultivated lifelong values of dedication, creativity, and love.

He was drawn to working with his hands, finding both solace and pride in crafting, especially through woodwork. Arnie left traces of himself through each creative piece, for all his loved ones to enjoy.

Arnie delighted in simpler pleasures as well. He cherished evenings spent watching Clint Eastwood movies, drawn by stories of quiet strength and justice.

Above all, Arnie’s heart belonged to his daughters. He treasured laughter-filled afternoons, family gatherings, and everyday moments spent by their side.

Though his journey has ended, Arnulfo Hernandez Rodriguez leaves behind a legacy inscribed in memories lovingly held by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.

He is preceded in death by his father Espiridion Rivera Rodriguez; four brothers Jimmy Rodriguez, Benny Rodriguez, Abel Rodriguez and Sammy Rodriguez; and a sister Delma Morales.

Survivors include three daughters Destiny Rodriguez of Lubbock, Rozlyne Rodriguez of Lubbock and Maria Brown of Houston; his mother Lusidra H. Rodriguez of San Antonio; three brothers Espiridion Rodriguez II, Michael Rodriguez and Mario Rodriguez all of San Antonio; two sisters Mary Pina and Jessie Gonzalez both of San Antonio; three grandchildren.

Viewing and visitation for Mr. Arnulfo Hernandez Rodriguez will begin 11:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at 6:00 p.m., the same day, with Rev. Daniel Garza officiating. Cremation arrangements were made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home & Chapel.
