Celia Monreal

Celia Monreal, 77, passed away Monday, September 26, 2016 in Abilene.  Services for Mrs. Monreal will be 10:00 am Friday, September 30, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Martin Pina officiating. Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.  A rosary will be held 6:00 pm Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Calvillo Funeral Home .

Celia was born December 26, 1939 to Serafin and Apolonia Vasquez and was a home maker for the most part of her life. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by five sons, Chris Espinoza of Georgetown, Andrew Monreal of Natalia, Anselmo Monreal Jr. of Divine, Vicente Monreal of Natalia, Alfredo Hernandez of Divine; four Daughters, Rachel Monreal of Lubbock, Rebecca Vasquez of Lubbock, Maggie Weatherford of Olton, Dolores Gutierrez of Sweetwater; one sister, Elvira Velasquez of Austin; forty-three grandchildren; one hundred twenty-nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her daughters, Mary Jane Rebellar and Angelita Leticia Monreal; a grandson, John Monreal; one great grandson Nicholas Monreal.
