Dennis Robert Whaley

Memorial Service for Mr. Dennis Robert Whaley, 69 of Lubbock will begin 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chris Downer officiating. Arrangements were made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home & Chapel.

On the evening of Monday, June 23, 2025, Dennis went to be with the Lord. He was born on December 14, 1955, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Theodore Richard Whaley and Ernica Whaley. Dennis lived a life filled with love, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to his family and community.

As a proud veteran, Dennis served honorably in the United States Navy, enlisting on January 20, 1975, and received his honorable discharge on November 25, 1975. This experience shaped him, instilling discipline and a sense of duty that he carried throughout his life.

Dennis was a skilled electrician and handyman, known for always lending a helping hand to those in need. His talents extended beyond his profession; he had a deep passion for fixing cars and motorcycles, immersing himself in projects that brought joy both to him and to those fortunate enough to know him. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, showcasing his loyalty and enthusiasm, a trait that resonated deeply with his family and friends.

Dennis Robert Whaley's legacy lives on through the love he spread and the countless lives he touched. His dedication to family, his craft, and his community will resonate in the hearts of all who knew him, a lasting tribute to a life well-lived.

Dennis is survived by wife Kimberly Ann Knight Whaley of Levelland; his children Spenser Whaley of Levelland, Stephani Whaley and Shelbi Whaley, both of Lubbock; his siblings Susan Whaley Puckett of Lubbock, Zindy Whaley Hurley of Round Rock, Michael Whaley of Round Rock, and Sandie Whaley Fields of Spring, Texas; and two grandsons Liam and Silas Whaley.
