Elizabeth Gonzales

Visitation for Elizabeth Gonzales, 43 of Lubbock, will begin on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, from 10a.m.-8 p.m. at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Calvillo Funeral Home on Thursday October 7, 2021, with Pastor Josh Ramirez officiating. Burial will follow in City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.

Elizabeth went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 2, 2021. She was born on October 8, 1977, in Lubbock, Texas to Richard and Sylvia Bustillos. Elizabeth worked as a medical assistant in Dr. Cathy Malouf’s office for numerous years. In her spare time, she enjoyed music of all sorts especially rap music, was a great cook and made the best tater tot hot dish. Elizabeth was close to the Hernandez clan from Minnesota.  She particularly enjoyed spending time with the family and her grandchildren. She always made sure her family felt loved and were cared for. Her family will always remember and cherish the memories they have with her.

She is preceded in death by her brother Jeremy Bustillos and a sister Irma Jean Bustillos.

Survivors include her parents Richard and Sylvia Bustillos, a son Nikulus Irlas; a daughter Sade Irlas; a stepdaughter Brittany Gonzales; one sister Rebecca Bustillos all of Lubbock; three grandchildren Zaylie Rosales, Jeremiah Chavez and Josh Gonzales; Nicky Torres and Alazrice Torres whom Elizabeth raised; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
