Obituary:
Erminia "Minnie" Salazar, 79 passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Texas Specialty Hospital. Services for Mrs. Salazar will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at El Buen Pastor located at 1111 36th with Rev. Ramon Banda officiating. Burial will follow at City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home. There will be a viewing for Mrs. Salazar at El Buen Pastor all day on Tuesday with a prayer service being held at 7:00 pm.
Minnie was born May 5, 1933 in Poth, Texas to Refugio and Guadalupe Galindo. She married David Salazar on September 23, 1950 in Lubbock. As a seamstress, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, collecting dolls and was a member of El Buen Pastor.
She is survived by seven sons, Abel Salazar, Jessie Salazar, Jacob Salazar, Bobby Salazar, Joel Salazar, Joseph Salazar all of Lubbock, Freddie Salazar of Clovis; three daughters, Isabell Hernandez, Yolanda Camunes, Beatrice Gutierrez all of Lubbock; one sister, Susie Salazar of Lubbock; nine half sisters; twenty seven grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by two sons, David Salazar Jr, Cresencio Salazar; one brother, Ignacio Galindo.
