Ethel Macias

Ruth Macias, 78, passed away Friday, June 10, 2016 at Covenant Hospital.  A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Macias will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Calvillo Funeral Home with Rev. David Hernandez officiating.  Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.  There will be a prayer service 7:00 pm Monday, June 13, 2016 at Calvillo Funeral Home.

Ruth was born March 5, 1938 in Roswell, NM to Frank & Rosa Ann Martinez.  She married the late Richard Macias on December 24, 1954 in Roswell and was a home maker for most of her life. She was a devout Baptist and enjoyed spending her time in church and listening to gospel music.  Collecting native American decorations was a past time of hers and she loved spending time with her family & grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, SGT. Albert Macias of Lubbock; one daughter, Michelle Longoria of Charlotte; four sisters, Francis Mata of Dexter, Rachel Martinez of Roswell, Rebecca Randall of Alamogordo, Lucy Hernandez of Dallas; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
