"Licha" as she was affectionately known began her first job cleaning homes in Morton, Texas her attention detail was well known through her customers. In 1942 she moved to Lubbock and dedicated her time and efforts to serving others through her work at the Lighthouse for the Blind. Her commitment to helping those in need was an inspiration to all who knew her.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Licha found joy in various hobbies and interests. She had a deep appreciation for music and could often be found listening to tunes on her cherished transistor radio. Licha's love for Christian music touched her heart deeply, and she would often sing along with a voice that resonated with devotion. Before losing her eyesight, quilting brought her great pleasure, as she poured creativity and love into every stitch. She also enjoyed indulging in shopping and dining out, savoring the simple pleasures of life.

Her family will forever cherish the memories they have with her and will never forget her one very important rule "No eating in cars!"
