Slaton Middle School, and Monterey High School, shaping the foundation of his formative years.

His personality was characterized by respectfulness and kindness. Known as a good son who respected everyone.

Later in life on August 2, 2024, he married Marcelia Sanchez in Lubbock cherishing a loving marriage.

Throughout his life, Jesus demonstrated a commendable work ethic and a deep commitment to providing for his loved ones, a quality that stood as one of his proudest accomplishments.

Jesus began his career as a bricklayer, contributing diligently to the field of construction. His journey also included roles at Torchy's Breakfast House as a dishwasher and at The Reserve Culinary Tavern, reflecting his versatility and willingness to embrace various opportunities with dedication. Beyond his professional pursuits, Jesus harbored a genuine passion for music and culinary arts, delighting in creating his own dishes and savoring meals at Subway, a favorite spot of his.

Jesus was also cherished as a jokester who playfully teased his nieces and nephews, adding joy and laughter to family gatherings.

His memory endures in the hearts of those who loved him, marked by his hardworking nature, loving personality, and the warmth he brought into their lives. Jesus Alfaro Rodriguez’s life story is a testament to the values of family, perseverance, and joy. He will be profoundly missed and fondly remembered.

Jesus was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Elena Rodriguez-Ruiz.

Jesus is survived by his beloved spouse Marcelia Sanchez and their son Kai Alfaro both of Lubbock. His father Jesus Medina of Lubbock; a brother Octavio Alfaro Rodriguez of Lubbock; a sister Maria Elena Alfaro Rodriguez of Slaton; also, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, numerous family members and friends.

Viewing and visitation for Mr. Jesus Alfaro Rodriguez will begin 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m., Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be 11:30 a.m., Monday, June 1, 2026, at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Daniel Garza officiating. Burial will follow at The City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home and Chapel.

El velorio para el Sr. Jesús Alfaro Rodríguez comenzará de 10:00 a.m. a 8:00 p.m., el domingo 31 de mayo de 2026, en la Capilla de Calvillo Funeral Home. Una Celebración de la Vida será a las 11:30 a.m., el lunes 1 de junio de 2026, en la Capilla de Calvillo Funeral Home con el Rev. Daniel Garza officiando. El entierro seguirá en el Cementerio de la Ciudad de Lubbock bajo la dirección de Calvillo Funeral Home y Capilla.
