In the early evening of Tuesday, October 28, 2023 Joe Lopez Rosales, 61 of Tahoka went to be with the Lord. Arrangements were made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home & Chapel.
He was born on September 27, 1962, in Brownfield, Texas, to the late Merejildo and Merejilda Rosales. Joe was a good son and always maintained a good relationship with his parents until their passing.
He attended Loop High School and went on to become a farmer. Joe took great pride in watching the fruits of his labor grow. With each harvest season, his crops flourished under his attentive care.
Joe's personality was truly one-of-a-kind. Known for his good sense of humor and kindness towards others, he had a way of brightening any room he entered.
He also had a great love for dogs, throughout his life he was known to have four to six companions at any given time.
While Joe's accomplishments were numerous throughout his life, it is his strength and unwavering faith that will be most remembered. Guided by his unyielding belief in God's will and steadfast commitment to following His word, Joe served as an inspiration to others. His devotion to God provided a guiding light that illuminated his path.
He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Rudy Rosales, Jessie Rosales, and Freddie Rosales.
He is survived by his three sisters: Lupe and husband Peter King of Abbeville, South Carolina; Maggie Rosales of Tahoka; Dominga Rosales of Michigan. Additionally, he leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
