Funeral services for Julia “Mama” Pena, 80 of Lubbock will be 10:00am, Friday, March 2, 2018 by direction of Calvillo Funeral Home & Chapel. Burial will be in The City of Lubbock Cemetery & officiated by Eutimio Gonzales Sr.

Julia went with her LORD & SAVIOR YESHUA on Monday, February 26, 2018. Born on March 23, 1937 in Lubbock to the late M/M Julio & Manuela Flores.

Julia’s profession was a Barber Stylist & worked for Meads Potato Chips, & Texas Instruments.

Julia’s passion was praising her LORD, Church & favorite scripture Psalm 23. She was a very loving wife, mother & grandmother.

She is preceded in death by a sister Adela Martinez, her brothers Julian, Manuel, Jose “Cheche”, & Elias Flores, a great granddaughter Mikaela Jade Garcia & son-in-law Liandro R. Garcia.

Survivors include her husband Sebastian, three sons Cecil (Erlinda) & Gilbert (Margaret) Garcia both of Lubbock; John D. Pena Stationed in Japan, two daughters Alicia & Sylvia Garcia both of Lubbock; a sister Lucy Venegas of  Lubbock; fourteen grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren, a great great granddaughter, plus a host of nieces and nephews.
