Linda Wood

Linda Gayle Wood, 68, of Lubbock passed away on Feb. 21, 2015. Linda was born Oct. 22, 1946 to Fay and Downey Waltermire.  She enjoyed a career as a math teacher and tutor and was an accomplished seamstress, but mostly enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Linda had a passion for God, her family, her friends and square dancing. She is survived by three children: Robert Wood of Lubbock, Darren Wood of Fountain CO, and DeLynn Lee of Weatherford; one sister Sandra Kay Smith of Meridian, MS; and 8 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Monday, Mar. 2, at 11 a.m. at the Lubbock Area Square Dance and Round Dance Federation 2305 120 ^th Street.  In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements for Mrs. Wood were made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.
