Loyd Huber

Loyd Huber “Papa Loyd”, 86 passed away Monday, May 9, 2016 at his residence.  Services for Mr. Huber will be 2:00 pm Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Calvillo Funeral Chapel with Brother David Jenkins. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home. Family will receive friends 7:00 tonight at Calvillo Funeral Home.

Loyd was born May 26, 1929 in Anson to Floyd & Viola Huber.  He married June Chester in 1952 in Lubbock and worked as an auto mechanic for most of his life.  He served his country in the Army and enjoyed playing golf, watching the Sooners and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by a son, Lee & Michelle Huber of Lubbock; one daughter, Dottie Baker of Lubbock; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, June Huber; a son, Loyd Huber Jr.; one sister, Dorothy Smith; two brothers, Robert & Chris Huber.
