Luisa G. Cruz, 80 passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013 at her residence. Services for Mrs. Cruz will be 1:00 pm Monday, April 8, 2013 at Calvillo Funeral Home with Pastor John Rogers officiating. Family will meet friends from 5-7pm on Sunday, April 7, 2013.
Luisa was born February 7, 1933 in Barstow to Saturnino and Carolina Gonzales. She married Justino Irael Cruz Sr. on July 8, 1959 in El Paso. She was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her grandkids and gardening.
She is survived by one son & daughter -n-law, Justino and Mary Lou Cruz of Lubbock; two daughters and brother-in-law, Anna Cruz & Timoteo Luera Jr. of Lubbock, Lily Cruz of Lubbock; two brothers, Saturnino Gonzales of California, Hipolito Gonzales of Las Vegas; four sisters, Isabel Eudave of California, Rebecca Rocha of San Antonio, Graciela Gonzales of California, Francisca Short of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ismael Gonzales.
Casket Bearers will be: Tim Luera Jr. Joe Ortiz, Eric Flores, Tim Luera III, Amos Castillo, Ralph Aguayo.
