Lusia C. Mora, 67 of Lubbock passed away Friday, August 6, 2021. Visitation will begin Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel (Lubbock) from 10:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel (Lubbock) with Rev. Tony Morin officiating. Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home and Chapel.
Lusia was born March 4, 1954, in Stanton, Texas to the late Graciano and Francis Mora. She worked as a LISD cafeteria cook, for numerous schools, namely Dunbar High School and Estacado High School for many years, she considered the students as her own children. Lusia enjoyed collecting Indian relics and watching black and white western movies, especially “Gun Smoke”, “Bananza” and “Rawhide”. Her family will always remember how Lusia had the biggest heart and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents Graciano and Francis Mora.
Those left to cherish her memory are; her long-time domestic partner Miguel Andrade of Lubbock; two sons Juan Miguel Andrade and Milin Andrade both of Lubbock; two daughters Wanda Andrade and Casandra Andrade both of Lubbock; two brothers Ysreal Mora of Lubbock and Joe Cantu of Big Spring; six sisters Evangelina Lomas of Roscoe, Sylvia Gonzalez of Loraine, Viriginia Mora of Sweetwater, Rosa Quintana of Sweetwater, Helen Mora of Big Spring and Alice Cantu of Big Spring and eight grandchildren.
