Obituary:
Marcos Ramirez Garcia, 81 passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 at Trust Point Hospital. Memorial services for Mr. Garcia will be 10:00 am Monday, May 20, 2013 at Lubbock Seventh Day Adventist with Pastor Leroy Green officiating. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.
Marcos was born May 17, 1931 in Batesville to Isaac and Antonia Garcia. He married Olga Balli on February 3, 1973 in Lubbock. After receiving his GED, Marcos went back to school and was certified as a master plumber thus giving him the opportunity to open his own business called Mark's Plumbing which he owned and operated for over 15 years. He also served as Head Elder and lay pastor for the Seventh Day Adventist Church and he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Olga Garcia of Lubbock; six sons, Mark Garcia, David Garcia, Jesse Garcia, Adam Garcia and Gilbert Garcia all of Lubbock; seven daughters, Josie Green, Janie Garcia, Irene Garcia, Sylvia Garcia, Catherine Garcia, Angie Garcia all of Lubbock, Anita Garcia of Brownsville; two brothers, Manuel Garcia of New Mexico, Isaac Garcia of Lubbock; three sisters, Antonia Torres, Olga Torres, Josie Ramirez all of Lubbock; seventeen grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
