Private viewing for Marcos Ramon Tijerina, 55, of Lubbock, began Sunday, September 27, 2020 from 3:00 PM-8:00 PM at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel-Lubbock a rosary was held the same day at 6:00PM. Funeral services were held 11:30AM, Monday, September 28, 2020, at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.
Mr. Tijerina went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 23, 2020. He was born on October 25, 1964 in Edinburg, Texas to the late Francisco (2019) and Olga (2015) Tijerina. Marcos worked in the automotive industry as an auto mechanic for many years. Marcos was a person with many skills and talents, working on auto body repair and painting, but also had a passion for building and driving race cars. Other interests in life for Marcos were boating, eating out, bar-b-queuing, being outdoors and having fun. He was also a sport enthusiast the Dallas Cowboys being his favorite team, however; apart from all his accomplishments his memory will always be cherished by his family and friends.
Survivors include four brothers; Francisco Tijerina Jr. of Arlington, Martin Tijerina and Freddie Tijerina both of Lubbock, and Anastacio Tijerina of Irving; two sisters, Janie Tijerina of Lubbock, and Manuelita Gardena of Lubbock. As well as a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Francisco and Olga Tijerina.
According to local and state guidelines, facemasks will be required at all times during visitation and funeral services.
