Rosary for Margarito "M.C." Valadez 88 of Lubbock will be today at 7 PM at Calvillo Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father Jim O'Connor officiating. Burial will be in Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home and Chapel.
Margarito went to be with the Lord on Saturday December 13, 2014. He was born on June 10, 1926 in Bertram, Texas to the late Fermin and Maria Valadez. He married Hortencia Hernandez on February 25, 1978 in Lubbock, she preceded him in death on July 8, 2014. He was a retired machine operator for Santa Fe Railroad. He loved to sing and play his guitar. He enjoyed playing bingo, watching cowboy movies and listing to Tejano music.
He is survived by two sons, Fred Valadez of Corpus Christi, Arturo Valadez of Lubbock, five daughters Betty Enriquez of Mineral Wells, Nora Altamirano of Lubbock, Cindy Valadez , Benita Valadez, and Susan Valadez all of Arlington, a brother Maximo Valadez of Lampasas, three sisters Nancy Valadez, Josie Valadez and Macaria Valadez all of Lampasas 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren
