On the early morning of December 10, 2023, Socorro, went to be with the Lord. She was born on August 24, 1956, in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico to the late Edward Sr. and Rita Martinez.

Socorro’s life was centered around the joy she found in taking care of her home and loved ones. Her talent in the kitchen was unmatched as she delighted her family with delicious meals and mouthwatering baked goods. Her knack for keeping the home clean and orderly created an atmosphere of comfort and tranquility that touched everyone who entered her doors.

Beyond her homemaking skills, Socorro cherished spending time outdoors, tending to her garden with care and dedication. She also had a passion for collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia and unique cake pans. These hobbies and collections reflected her appreciation for simple pleasures and added beauty to her life.

Socorro brought love, warmth, and compassion into the lives of those around her. Her cheerful spirit uplifted others in times of need and brought smiles to their faces. She had the remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome with her warm hospitality and genuine interest in their well-being. However, her greatest loves in her life were her grandchildren, she showered all of them each with their own individual love, they will forever remember the love she gave them and memories they have with her.
