Maria C. Rosales, a devoted caretaker and cherished member of her community, passed away on April 26, 2026, in Lubbock. Born on March 23, 1928, Maria lived a life marked by kindness, dedication, and a deep love for her family and faith.

Residing in Post for many years, Maria devoted much of her life to working in a nursing home, where she served as a compassionate caretaker. Her gentle spirit and unwavering commitment brought comfort and care to many, reflecting the heart of a true caregiver.

Maria found joy in the simple and meaningful pleasures of life. She was an avid reader of the Bible, drawing strength and inspiration from its teachings throughout her life. Her talents extended beyond her professional role; she was an accomplished cook, known for her delicious meals prepared with love for family and friends. Maria also enjoyed crocheting and gardening, hobbies that brought her peace and creativity.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Irma Brown of Lubbock, and grandchildren John Brown Jr. of Lubbock and Rachel Marshal of Montana. Maria's legacy continues through her three beloved great-grandchildren, who hold her memory dear.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Odilon and Guadalupe Rosales, whose early guidance helped shape the values she carried into adulthood.

Maria C. Rosales will be remembered for her warmth, dedication, and the quiet, steadfast love she shared with those around her. Her life was a testament to the power of faith, family, and service, leaving a lasting imprint on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday April 29, 2026, at Terrace Cemetery in Post Texas. All arrangements were made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.
