Marianna Mojica

January 31, 1937 — March 3, 2015

Rosary for Mariana Salazar Mojica 78 of Lubbock will be on today at her residence 126 N. Ave N, at 7 PM . Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday at 2 PM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Martin Pina officiating. Burial will be in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home and Chapel.
Mariana was born on January 31, 1937 in Ralls, Texas to the late Victoriano and Leonora (Nora) Salazar. Marianna was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and was devoted to Crusillista and Rollista under the direction of  the late Father Antonio Gonzales. She had a passion for Christian Music songwriting and singing. She was a very faithful and devoted to her catholic beliefs. She had a love for watching The Texas Rangers Baseball Team and playing Billiards. Her favorite holidays were Christmas and Halloween due to the fact that she could have all her children and family together. She was a mother ,sister and grandmother. She was  very strong, courageous and generous. She was our very own Superwoman!! She believed in you and deserved nothing less from you. She was and always will be Marianna, Maria, La Mere, Ma Ruca Salazar Mojica.
She has gone to rejoice with the Lord, She will be missed and loved always and forever,,,,,,,,
She is preceded in death by two daughters Baby Sylvia M. and Soila Mojica seven brothers Raymond Salazar,Edward Salazar, Vicente Salazar, Ernesto Salazar, Joe Salazar, Adam Salazar, and Luis Salazar, seven sisters Delia Esparza, Precilliana Guerro, Rita Juarez, Jesusa DeLeon, Dulce Flores, Eva Salazar, Carolina Salazar and Maria Elena Salazar.
She is survived by four daughters Sylvia Martinez, LeoNora Fira Estrada, Elvia Ramirez and Rachel Pena all of Lubbock two sisters Betty Garcia and Rosa Compean both of Lubbock a brother Felipe Salazar of Lubbock, 14 grandchildren, and 32 great grandchildren all of Lubbock
Pallbearers will be Louis Estrada,Fernando Salazar, Fabian Flores, Art Alvarado, Kelvey Lloyd and Jamie Ponce.
