On the morning of Thursday, February 12, 2026, Martin went to be with the Lord. He was born on March 12, 1959, in O’Donnell, Texas to the late Guadalupe Sr. and Consuelo Liendo. Later in life in 1980, Martin went on to marry Anita Moya in Tahoka cherishing forty-five years of a loving marriage before she preceded him in death in 2025. Martin lived a life rich in love, laughter, and hard work.

As a farmer, he poured his heart and soul into the land, cultivating not just crops but a legacy rooted in dedication and love for nature. His unwavering commitment to his craft allowed him to nurture the earth and provide for those around him, exemplifying the virtues of honesty and perseverance.

Beyond his career, Martin found immense joy in the company of his family. He was a joyous spirit who loved having a good time, whether it was gathered around the dinner table, bar-b-queuing on warm summer evenings, or sharing laughter-filled moments that created lasting memories. His playful nature and penchant for joking around made each encounter with him a treasure, leaving an imprint of joy on those fortunate enough to know him.

Television was not just a pastime for Martin; it was a shared experience with those he loved. He delighted in gathering with family for movie nights, sharing popcorn, and engaging in light-hearted conversations about the stories that unfolded on the screen. But what he cherished most was simply being at home, surrounded by the love of his family, where every moment felt like a sweet gift.

Martin's legacy will forever shine in the hearts of his loved ones. He was more than a farmer; he was a source of love, laughter, and warmth. His spirit will live on in the memories he created and the lives he touched. As we bid farewell to Martin, we hold onto the stories, the laughter, and the love that will continue to connect us, reminding us of the wonderful man he was.

He is preceded in death by his wife Anita Liendo; his parents; Guadalupe Sr. and Consuelo Liendo; brothers; Guadalupe “Lupe” Liendo Jr. and Amador Liendo; sisters Hortencia Sepeda, Petra Sepeda and Rosa Liendo.
