Viewing will be held at Calvillo Funeral Home and Chapel Tuesday, March 19, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Rosary will be Wednesday March 20, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Calvillo Funeral Home and Chapel.
Obituary:
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M., Thursday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Andres Mendoza officiating. Interment will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home and Chapel.
Norma passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013 in Houston, Texas . She was born December 21, 1963 in Brownfield, Texas to the late Alfredo Sr. (May 24, 1998) and Carolina Cantu.
She graduated from Wilson High School in 1982. , although she didn't have any children she loved caring for the children at Guadalupe Parkway Neighborhood Services and volunteering in many community organizations. She had worked for Guadalupe Economic Services. She was presently employed at Montelongo's Restaurant.
She was a life long resident of Lubbock and a catholic
She is survived by her mother, Carolina Cantu of Lubbock; two brothers, Alfredo Cantu, Jr. and wife Kim of Lubbock, Pete and wife Maricella Garcia of Brownfield; three sisters Kathy and husband Gilbert Flores, Delma Cantu, Laura Cantu and Raymond Pacheco all of Lubbock; and a host of nieces, nephews, and one great nephew.
