Petra Gonzalez

Petra Gonzalez, 92, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019 in Lubbock.  Services for Mrs. Gonzalez will be 10:00 am Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe with Father Martin Pina officiating.  Burial will follow in City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.  A rosary will be held 7:00 pm Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Calvillo Funeral Home with a visitation starting at 9:00 am.

Petra was born June 29, 1926 in Edinburg to Concepcion & Luisa Gonzalez.  She was a home maker who loved gardening and spending time with her family as often as she could.

She is survived by her sister, Rufina Zuniga of Lubbock; her niece/caregiver, Alicia Vasquez and husband Enes of Lubbock; numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Martin Gonzalez, Esteban Gonzalez, Nicolas Gonzalez, Simon Gonzalez, Celestino Gonzalez; sisters, Estanlislada Mendoza, Bidala Rodriguez, Marcelina Zuniga; her niece Maria Angelita Flores.
