Raymond Gutierrez

Raymond “Johnny” Gutierrez Jr., 56, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018 in Lubbock.  Services for Mr. Gutierrez will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, May 18, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Martin Pina officiating.  Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.   A rosary will be held 7:00 P.M. Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Calvillo Funeral Home.

Raymond was born September 2, 1961 in Lubbock to Raymond & Sally Gutierrez Sr.  He worked for Ameripride for many years as a machine operator and was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys.  He also enjoyed collecting cassette tapes throughout the years creating a collection of over 8000 tapes.  A devout Catholic,  Raymond loved going to church and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his parents Raymond and Sally Gutierrez of Lubbock; sons Samuel Gutierrez and Gilbert Gutierrez (Danielle) of Lubbock; daughters Patricia Gutierrez (Nick), Veronica Gutierrez (Valentine), and Rebecca Gutierrez (Rudy) all of Lubbock, one brother Michael Gutierrez (Mary) of Lubbock, and three sisters; Teresa Ramirez (Fidel), Irene Masie (Robert), and Beatrice Gutierrez (Jeremiah) all of Lubbock; twelve grandchildren.
