All Arrangements were made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home & Chapel.
On the morning of Saturday, July 19, 2025, Rene went to be with the Lord. He was born on January 4, 1988, in El Paso, Texas to Raul Lopez and Esperanza Saldana. Later in life he married Ashley LeAnn Munoz in Tahoka. Rene was a devoted father, talented craftsman, and cherished friend. His life touched many throughout his journey, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him.
A proud graduate of Tahoka High School in 2007, Rene embraced life with an infectious spirit that radiated through his work and personal passions. He dedicated himself to his career as an Insulation Technician/Inspector at Thermo Dynamic, where his dedication and expertise shone brightly. Colleagues admired his work ethic and often spoke of his ability to tackle challenges with a smile and a determination that inspired those around him.
Beyond his professional achievements, Rene found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a profound love for working with his hands, be it repairing cars or engaging in his cherished hobby of collecting lowrider homies. Each piece in his collection told a story—a testament to his creativity and the friendships he nurtured through his interests. Also, Rene loved his American Bullies. He found peace and pride in these projects, often sharing his passion with friends and family, demonstrating how much joy he found in the creation of LoLow Kennels and Kenzie’s Snack Shack.
Rene's greatest joy, however, was undoubtedly his children. He devoted countless hours to spending time with them, intricately weaving their lives together with adventures, laughter, and lessons learned. His approach to parenting was marked by an unwavering love and support, fostering an environment where his children thrived under his guidance and affection. Every moment shared with his kids was a treasure, filling their lives with memories that will forever be held close to their hearts.
Rene's warmth and kindness extended beyond his family and career. Friends knew him as a loyal companion, always ready to lend a hand or a listening ear. He had a unique ability to make everyone feel valued, often bringing people together with his easy-going nature and infectious laughter. The bonds he formed throughout his life mirrored the careful craftsmanship he brought to his work and hobbies.
As we remember Rene Lopez, we celebrate a life lived with purpose, passion, and love. His legacy is woven into the hearts of his children and all who had the honor of calling him a friend. While he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will forever shine brightly in their lives.
