Roy Carothers

Roy Carothers,59, of Ropesville, TX passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2019 in Ropesville.  A celebration of life will be held for Mr. Carothers 2:30 pm Monday, September 9, 2019 at 1st Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Levelland (1219 8th St.).

He was born August 12, 1960 to Leroy and Barbara Carothers. He graduated from Ropes High School & South Plains College and worked as a truck driver for about 30 years.  Most recently, he served as an officer at the Jim Rudd Unit in Brownfield.

He is survived by two brothers, Clint and Roger Carothers of Lubbock; Uncle Tommy and Aunt Shirley Withrow of Levelland; Aunt Linda Dement of Lubbock; several cousins abroad.

He is preceded in death by his wife Marilyn; Parents, Leroy and Barbara Carothers.
