Salvador Garcia

Viewing and visitation for Salvador “Chava” Garcia, 62, of Lubbock will be from 2:00 p.m.to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary beginning at 6:00 pm, the same day. Graveside Services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 14, 2020 at Abernathy Cemetery with Daniel Garza officiating. All arrangements were made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home and Chapel.

Salvador was born September 20, 1958 and went home to is heavenly father on December 7, 2020.

Those preceding him in death were his father Erasmo Garcia Sr. and an infant sister Elizabeth Garcia.

He is survived by his mother Minerva Garcia of Lubbock, a brother Erasmo Garcia Jr. and his wife Mary Teresa of Lubbock; three nieces Amie Talamantez  and husband Armando Jr. of Lubbock, Veronica Garcia and husband Ruben of Austin, Nina Ballew and husband Austin of Chicago; five grand nieces, Ashley, Addie, Andie, Evan, Victoria and one grand nephew Nathan.

He was employed by Galbraith for years and worked as a roofer. “Chava” as he was affectionately called by his family, was a kind and gentle soul. He was a Dallas Cowboy fan like his father. He loved doing magic tricks to entertain our kids. Salvador graduated from Estacado High School.

According to local and state guidelines, facemasks will be required at all times during visitation and funeral services. Temperatures will be taken upon entering funeral home
