Obituary:
Santos Almager Salas, 78 passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Whisperwood Nursing Home. Services for Mrs. Salas will be 10:00 am, Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Ramon Almager officiating. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home. There will be a rosary held 7:00 pm tonight at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel with visitation starting at 12:00 pm.

Santos was born April 10, 1934 in Goliad, Texas to Eulogio and Cleotilde Almager. She married Rosendo Salas Sr. on September 11, 1951 in Waxahachie; he later passed on May 25, 2001. She was a homemaker who loved to sew and spend time with her children and grandchildren.

Santos is survived by six sons, Rosendo Salas Jr. of Grand Prairie, Daniel Salas of Idalou, Eulogio Salas, Jose Mario Salas, Cipriano Salas, Esmeregildo Salas all of Lubbock; two daughters, Gloria Camargo, Maria Elena Salas both of Lubbock; two brothers, Refugio Almager of Goliad, Apolonio Martinez of Seminole; eighteen grandchildren; fourty great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Rosendo Salas Sr.; one daughter, Patricia Salas; one son, Ricardo Salas; seven brothers, Timoteo Almager, Marcelino Almager, Lupe Martinez, Manuel Luna, Esmeregildo Almager, Eulogio Almager, Pedro Almager; three sisters, Nasaria Almager, Rosa Almager, Chanita Almager.
