Sara Ann Yielding

Sara Ann Yielding, 75, of Lubbock passed away, Wednesday, March 22, 2023. Arrangements were made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home & Chapel. The family will host a memorial luncheon 2 p.m., Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 1302 Main Street, Petersburg, Texas, 79250. 

Sara was born on May 9, 1947, in Brownwood, Texas to the late Samuel and Minnie Truitt. Later in life she went on to marry J.W. Yielding. Sara graduated with her bachelor’s degree as a registered nurse, she traveled to numerous places with her career including Paris, Texas, San Antonio and Ft. Worth. She was also designated as the Director of Nurses in Brownwood, Texas for numerous years. The family of Sara will remember how she always had a smile on her face, was a jokester and was always willing to help anyone in need. Sara will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband J.W. Yielding of Cameron, Texas; a son Sammual Franklin Padron of North Carolina; daughters Melissa Garza of Petersburg, Texas and Donna Fulcher of Blanket, Texas; ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
