Steven Rocha

The family of Mr. Steven Rocha will host a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, at Segunda Apostolic Church (10312 FM 1264 Lubbock, Texas 79415). Cremation arrangements made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home & Chapel.

On the afternoon of Thursday, December 4, 2025, Steven Rocha, 56 of Lubbock of went to be with the Lord. He was born on February 25, 1969, in Lubbock to the late Heraclio and Felipa Rocha. Later in life he graduated from Estacado High School where he participated in the ROTC program. He then went on to attend and graduate from Mechanic Trade School, where he honed the skills that would serve him well throughout his life.

Steven was a jokester at heart, possessing a delightful sense of humor that he generously shared with friends and family alike. He valued every moment spent in the company of loved ones, always finding ways to infuse joy into gatherings, big or small. He also dedicated numerous years as a custodian for the Lubbock Police Department and was also known affectionately as a jack of all trades; his varied skills and talents touched many lives in his community.

An enthusiast of many hobbies, Steven had a passion for karate and could often be found dancing to all kinds of music or immersed in the excitement of wrestling matches. His creativity blossomed through his love for wood and metal projects, showcasing a talent that embraced both artistry and functionality. Furthermore, he held a special fondness for collecting comic books.

Though Steven has departed, his spirit will remain alive in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. His departure has left a great void in our lives, but the love and laughter he shared will continue to resonate through the years. Please remember Steven for the man he was, filled with light, laughter, and a zest for life that was truly infectious.

He is preceded in death by his parents Heraclio and Felipa Rocha; a sister Priscilla Rocha and a brother Jose Simon Rocha.

He is survived by his sisters Francis Rocha of Levelland, JoAnn Acebedo Delgado of Lubbock and Maria Rivera of Lubbock; He was a proud uncle to six nieces and five nephews, and he adored his growing family of great nieces and nephews, who brought him immeasurable joy.
