Zaragoza Garza

Zaragoza Garcia Garza, 77 passed away Monday, July 13, 2015 at his residence.  Services for Mr. Garza will be 10:00 am Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Calvillo Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jesus Cisneros officiating.  Burial will follow at City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home. There will be a prayer service held 7:00 pm Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Calvillo Funeral Home.

Zaragoza was born May 5, 1938 in St. Paul to Gabriel & Maria Garza.  He married Betty Rodriguez on July 21, 1962 in San Luis, CO. He worked as a forklift operator for Farmers Coop Compress and enjoyed gardening and taking care of his yard.  His true passion involved spending time with his grandkids and watching them play sports.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Garza of Lubbock; one son, Charles Garza of Lubbock; one daughter, Linda Ponciano of Lubbock; one brother, Gilbert Garza of Minnesota; six sisters, Noelia Esqueda, Gina Sanchez, Maria Diaz all of Lubbock, Irene Perez, Ida Flores, Ninfa Garza all of Uvalde; four grandchildren.
