Guadalupe Reyes

December 12, 1923 — July 4, 2020

Guadalupe Reys vda de Rodriguez was born December 12, 1923 in Cuidad Juarez, Mexico to Macario & Remedioz Reyes.  She married Jose Ramiro Rodriguez on December 15, 1946 in Cuidad Juarez and had the honor of being a home maker for most of her life. She enjoyed keeping a clean household and always made sure her porch was clean as well. Her hobbies included knitting, arts & crafts, sewing clothes and making flowers out of paper.  Most of all, Guadalupe loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

On the morning of July 4, 2020; Guadalupe Reyes was called from this earth.  Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Jose Ramiro Rodriguez, Carlos Rene Rodriguez both of California; five daughters, Maria Teresa Villarreal of California, Guadalupe Rodriguez, Zita Maria Rodriguez, Maria Yolanda Cerda, Rosa Adriana Mancilla all of Lubbock; nineteen grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jose Ramiro Rodriguez (June 13, 1993); a son, Rodolfo Rodriguez.

Funeral mass for Mrs. Reyes will be 10:00 am Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Reymundo Manriquez officiating.  Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.  A rosary will be held 6:00 pm Monday, at Calvillo Funeral Home with visitation starting at 2:00 pm the same day.

Guadalupe Reyes vda de Rodríguez nació el 12 de diciembre de 1923 en Ciudad Juárez, México, de Macario y Remedioz Reyes. Se casó con José Ramiro Rodríguez el 15 de diciembre de 1946 en Ciudad Juárez y tuvo el honor de ser ama de casa la mayor parte de su vida. Le gustaba mantener un hogar limpio y siempre se aseguraba de que el patio estuviera limpio también. Sus pasatiempos incluían tejer, manualidades, coser ropa y hacer flores de papel. Sobre todo, le encantaba pasar tiempo con su familia y sus nietos.
En la mañana del 4 de julio de 2020; Guadalupe Reyes fue llamada de esta tierra. Los que quedan para apreciar su memoria son sus dos hijos, José Ramiro Rodríguez, Carlos René Rodríguez, ambos de California; cinco hijas, María Teresa Villarreal de California, Guadalupe Rodríguez, Zita María Rodríguez, María Yolanda Cerda, Rosa Adriana Mancilla, todas de Lubbock; diecinueve nietos; veintiún bisnietos.
Le precedieron en la muerte su esposo José Ramiro Rodríguez (13 de junio de 1993); un hijo, Rodolfo Rodríguez.
La misa fúnebre para la Sra. Reyes será a las 10:00 am del martes 7 de julio de 2020 en la Iglesia Católica St. José con el Padre Reymundo Manríquez como oficiante. El entierro seguirá en Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park bajo la dirección de Calvillo Funeral Home. Un rosario se llevará a cabo a las 6:00 pm del lunes, en la funeraria Calvillo con visitas a partir de las 2:00 pm del mismo día
