Juan Martinez

Juan Aguilera Martinez 61 of Lubbock passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019 in Lubbock.  Services for Mr. Martinez will be 1:00 pm Friday, June 28, 2019 at Calvillo Funeral Home & Chapel in Lubbock, TX with Father Martin Pina officiating.  Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home. Viewing will begin 10:00 am Thursday at Calvillo Funeral Home with a rosary that evening at 7:00 pm.

Juan was born November 21, 1957 in Slaton Texas to the late Senovio Martinez & Olga Martinez.  He loved music, dancing, to sing,  and play pool. Mr. Martinez loved women and women loved him. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and was a Catholic. He loved to cook for his family, especially breakfast. He enjoyed walking and visiting people.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother Olga Ayala of Gilroy, CA. Three sons, Juan Martinez Jr., Nicholas Martinez, and Juan Demacio Martinez all of Lubbock. two daughters, Diane Marie Martinez (RigoBerto Muniz) and Patricia Martinez of Lubbock. Two brothers; Rodolfo Martinez of Lubbock and Senovio Martinez Jr. of San Antonio. Five sisters, Lydia Martinez, Rafaela Martinez, Rosa Maria Martinez, Maria Martinez, and Angelita Martinez all of California. Seventeen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by a brother Jesus Martinez ( January 2019) of Lubbock.
