Leon Moreno

Viewing and visitation for Leon Moreno, 88 of Lubbock will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday , November 30 , 2020 at Calvillo Funeral Chapel. Graveside Services will begin 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2020 with Daniel Garza officiating at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.

Mr. Moreno was called to be with the Lord, Wednesday, November 25, 2020. He was born on September 23, 1932, in Taylor, Texas to Ignacio and Alejandra Moreno. He grew up most of his life in Taylor, Texas where he married Ramona Flores on September 11, 1954, She preceded him in death on October 27, 2020. Leon was a farmer for numerous years, he also was a butcher and worked for a cotton gin. He loved to live life to the fullest, he never met a stranger. Leon enjoyed playing his guitar and listening to music. However, his greatest joy in life was spending time with his loving family.

Survivors include a son: Roger Moreno of Round Rock, Texas,  daughter: Pamela Moreno of Lubbock; seven grandchildren; five great great- grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife Ramona F. Moreno; a daughter Diana Moreno

According to local and state guidelines, facemasks will be required at all times during visitation and funeral services. Temperatures will be taken upon entering funeral home
