Viewing for Raymond Delgado, 73, of Lubbock, will begin Thursday, September 17, 2020 from 10:00 AM-8:00 PM at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel-Lubbock. Funeral services will be held 12 PM, Friday, September 18, 2020, at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.
Mr. Delgado went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 16, 2020. He was born on June 25, 1947 in Robstown, Texas to the late Manuel (1989) and Amparo (2005) Delgado. Later in life on May 11, 1985 he married Mary Galvan in Lubbock. Raymond was a hard worker and worked in the construction business as a Concrete Finisher for many years. He had many interests in life especially reading books, the newspaper, and watching cowboy movies. He was also a sport enthusiast with the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers being his favorite teams, however; apart from all his accomplishments in life, his greatest joy was spending time with his family and especially the grandchildren. His family will always cherish the memories they have with him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Manuel Delgado Jr., Alfredo Delgado, Elias Flores, and Michael Garcia; four sisters, Mercelia Montoya, Josephina Rodriguez, Irma Coronado, and Edna Lucio.
Survivors include his wife Mary Delgado; eight sons, Severo Sanchez, Jose Sanchez, Carlos Sanchez, Pablo Galvan, Ricky Mojica, Joe Delgado all of Lubbock, Adam Sanchez from Hondo, and Michael Delgado from Zapata; seven daughters, Ana Parker and Mary Ester Sanchez both of Poteet, Carolyn Sanchez, Elizabeth Elias, Alicia Galvan, Missy Cerna, and Melissa Stripling all of Lubbock; three brothers, Eddie Garcia, Roy Delgado, and Tony Delgado, all of Lubbock; seven sisters, Deana Salinas, Eva Linda Garcia, Trini Chavez , Elia Hernandez, Hortensia Esquibel, Rachel Delgado all of Lubbock, and Mary Ann Esquebel of San Antonio; forty five grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
According to local and state guidelines, facemasks will be required at all times during visitation and funeral services.
