Rosie G. Flores, 90 of Lubbock passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021.  Viewing and visitation will begin Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel from 2:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m, with a rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m., the same evening at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass for Ms. Flores will be Monday, August 30, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church-Lubbock with Father Rudy Crasta officiating. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.

Rosie was born August 30, 1930, in Coolidge, Texas to the late Juan and Estolia Gomez. She was a devout Catholic and believed in the Lord with all her heart. Before, retiring Rosie worked many years for Goodwill in the sorting department. She loved to garden, and enjoyed watching football, she was a diehard Dallas Cowboys and Texas Tech Red Raiders fan. Rosie also loved to spend time with her beloved dogs, “Shadow”, “Chiquita”, “Shelby” and “Charlie”. However, her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her family will always remember how Rosie had a lovable character and was a very generous soul.

She is preceded in death by her parents Juan and Estolia Gomez and a son Johnny Flores (2017).

Those left to cherish her memory are three sons Guadalupe Flores and wife Gloria of Grape Creek, Antonio Flores of Lubbock and Domingo Flores Jr. and wife Irma of Lubbock; four daughters Esperanza and husband Arturo Perez of Lubbock, Delia Flores of Lubbock, Juanita Flores of New Jersey and Mary Martinez of Lubbock; three sisters Teresa Ledesma of Oglesby, Mary Contreras of Belmead, Texas and Linda Romo of Waco; twenty-seven grandchildren and forty-seven great grandchildren.
