Tomas Gonzalez Gonzalez, 60 of Lubbock passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022.  Visitation will begin begin Wednesday, March 9, 2022, from 1:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m with a rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. the same evening. Funeral Mass will begin, 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Martin Pina officiating. Burial will follow at The City of Lubbock Cemetery. All arrangements were made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home & Chapel.

Tomas was born October 23, 1961, in Pachera, Chihuahua, Mexico to the late Tomas Gonzalez Rodriguez and Salome Gonzalez Armendariz. In 1982, he married Atocha Beltran in Mexico. Tomas was Catholic by faith. He was a hard worker and worked numerous years in the agricultural business. In his spare time, he enjoyed making sculptures out of iron, training and taking care of his horses, bar-b-cueing and listening to music from Mexico. However, his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Tomas Gonzalez Rodriguez and Salome Gonzalez; brothers Roberto Gonzalez and Reynaldo Gonzalez; sisters Catalina Gonzalez and Socorro Gonzalez.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Atocha Gonzalez; a son Lorenzo Arturo Leon; daughters Jaqueline Gonzalez, Dalia Gonzalez and Viridiana Gonzalez; sisters Sylvia Gonzalez, Delfina Gonzalez, Irma Gonzalez, Imelda Gonzalez, Laura Elena Gonzalez; ten grandchildren.

Tomás González González, de 60 años, de Lubbock, falleció el sábado 5 de marzo de 2022. El velorio comenzará el miércoles 9 de marzo de 2022 de 1:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m. con un rosario que comenzará a las 6:00 p. m. la misma tarde La misa fúnebre comenzará el jueves 10 de marzo de 2022 a las 10:00 a. m. en la iglesia católica Our Lady of Guadalupe con el padre Martin Pina como oficiante. El entierro seguirá en el cementerio de la ciudad de Lubbock. Todos los arreglos se hicieron bajo la dirección de Calvillo Funeral Home & Chapel.

Tomás nació el 23 de octubre de 1961 en Pachera, Chihuahua, México, hijo de Tomás González Rodríguez y Salomé González Armendáriz. En 1982 se casó con Atocha Beltrán en México. Tomás era católico por fe. Era muy trabajador y trabajó muchos años en el negocio agrícola. En su tiempo libre disfrutaba haciendo esculturas de hierro, entrenando y cuidando sus caballos, haciendo barbacoas y escuchando música de México. Sin embargo, su mayor alegría en la vida era pasar tiempo con su familia y amigos.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres Tomas Gonzalez Rodriguez y Salome Gonzalez; los hermanos Roberto González y Reynaldo González; hermanas Catalina González y Socorro González.

Los que quedan para atesorar su memoria son su amada esposa Atocha González; un hijo Lorenzo Arturo León; hijas Jaqueline Gonzalez, Dalia Gonzalez y Viridiana Gonzalez; hermanas Sylvia Gonzalez, Delfina Gonzalez, Irma Gonzalez, Imelda Gonzalez, Laura Elena Gonzalez; diez nietos.
